Jessica grew up in Georgia but moved back to Kansas at the age of 9 years old. She attended KU where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in 2004 then later attended Rockhurst University in 2007 to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Growing up with two disabled sisters, Jessica saw all that they used & worked on to get to where they needed to be. Jessica’s younger sister has Cerebral Palsy & came from a rough home life, never getting the chance to improve or gain skills until after coming to the family at 2 years of age. She learned so much about what kids can do, what their brains & body can recover – Jessica knew she needed to be a part of this & she says this really shaped her as a parent & her desire to become a physical therapist with children. Jessica specializes in treating kids from birth to 16 years old with unique diagnoses such as autism, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, & many more. She enjoys the fact that no case is the same, no kid is the same, & that they never give up.
When Jessica isn’t treating patients out of our Lenexa clinic, she stays busy with her four children & her husband. They spend time traveling to the ocean & beach, shopping, & riding roller-coasters.
