A Kansas City native, Shari came to Preferred Physical Therapy just over two years ago. She received her undergraduate degree in Recreational Therapy from The University of Missouri – Columbia & started working as a therapist for the Park Hill School District. Shari then became a stay-at-home mother & realized it was time to pursue her life-long goal of working in the physical therapy field so she went on to obtain her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Penn Valley in Kansas City.
Working with people who have gait & balance disorders is one of Shari’s favorite diagnoses to treat. She enjoy the diversity of outpatient physical therapy & the ability to treat multiple diagnoses, promoting the patient’s ability to decrease pain & restore function. Shari has enjoyed working in the industry of helping people achieve their full potential.
When Shari is not treating patients out of our Gladstone clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 22 years & their two children, Quinton & Mackenzie. Whether it is taking a road trip, watching a baseball game or soccer game, band or orchestra concerts, or participating in a church activity, they are always having fun together.
